Ciao a tutti!

Sono tornato in Svezia ancora una volta con un sacco di bei ricordi di Verona Risuona.

Vedere come questo evento si è evoluto in due anni e quanti nuovi partecipanti ha coinvolto è fantastico. Credo sia la prova che c’è bisogno di un evento di questo tipo a Verona in questi giorni.

Grazie a tutti voi che vi siete assunti la responsabilità di compiti pesanti come organizzare, ottenere permessi per suonare in strade e piazze, che avete fatto le giuste telefonate quando un problema è sorta, che avete creato un nuovo sito internet, relazioni pubbliche, documentazioni, la favolosa festa conclusiva…

…e grazie a tutti voi fantastici artisti e musicisti che siete indispensabili per questo evento.

Tutti quelli di voi che pensano che Verona Risuona sia un palcoscenico importante, e a cui piacerebbe continuare a sviluppare e cambiare Verona Risuona, sono ora chiamati a creare una rete ed una organizzazione per condividere obbiettivi e responsabilità in vista dell’edizione della prossima primavera.

Sarò personalmente parte di questo con Hugh e Roberta, ma è importante che continuiamo insieme ad assumerci la responsabilità di cosa sarà Verona Risuona nel 2009.

Facciamo in modo che Verona Risuona sia un luogo di arte e musica, un luogo con la libertà di parola, un luogo dove i cittadini “possiedono” le strade e le piazze, non i politici e la gente con il potere!

Sono molto felice ed orgoglioso di aver partecipato con voi anche quest’anno e non vedo l’ora di vedervi ancora tutti la prossima primavera (marzo – aprile – maggio) per una nuova edizione di Verona Risuona.

Back in Sweden again with a lot of nice memories from Verona Risuona. To see how this manifestation has developed during two years is fantastic and that so many new interested participants have joined us… i think it´s an evidence that Verona Risuona is needed as a platform in Verona these days.

Thank you all of you who have had the responsibility for heavy duties like organizing, getting permissions to play in streets and squares, who have made phone calls when ever a problem has come up, who have created the new web site, public relations, documentations, the fabulous farewell party…
… and thank you all of you fantastic artists, musicians and performance artists who are the very condition for this event.

All of you who think that Verona Risuona is an important stage, and feel that you would like to continue developing and changing Verona Risuona, must now create a network and an organization, for sharing the tasks, the fields of responsibility to plan next spring.
I will together with Hugh and Roberta be a part of this, but it is now important that we together continue and take responsibility for what Verona Risuona is going to be in 2009.

Let Verona Risuona be a place for art & music, a place for the free spoken word, A place where the citizen of Verona “owns” the streets and the squares of the city, not the politicians and the people with power!

I am happy and proud having participated with you even this year and I am now looking forward to seeing you all again next spring (march – april – may) for a new version of Verona Risuona.

Ci chiamiamo PornoAntonellino, siamo un gruppo di cantori metropolitani. Siamo una compagine eterogenea, formata da maschi e femmine di diverse età, cultura ed estrazioni sociali, in continuo mutamento.

Siamo esseri semplici e genuini. Tramite il solo utilizzo della voce amiamo decantare e glorificare i semplici eventi del quotidiano che la normalità e la ripetizione ti spinge a non apprezzare più: una metropolitana che apre le porte alla fermata, un distributore di snack funzionante in stazione, il gorgoglio del caffè appena pronto.

Possiamo manifestarci apparentemente per caso, quando non te lo aspetti: per la strada, in un autobus, mentre aspetti in coda all’ufficio postale.

Il nostro slogan è “io li ho visti” per dare il senso estemporaneo e casuale dell’incontro, come l’apparizione della Madonna di Fatima, solo che il nostro è un miracolo concreto e sociale, non elitario.

In realtà non lasciamo nulla al caso: siamo organizzati come un sindacato irlandese, agiamo veloci e coordinati come broker di borsa, ci disperdiamo come i cervi di Bambi al suono degli spari dei cacciatori.

Vorremmo partecipare a Verona Risuona, in due o tre performance di massimo due minuti in luoghi come una piazza, un negozio, un autobus.

In ogni performance canteremo il nostro hit “Hi! My name is PornoAntonellino” per testimoniare la nostra esistenza. Appariremo inaspettati, quasi casualmente e, una volta finita la performance, ci disperderemo irrintracciabili.

Necessitiamo unicamente di volenterosi dotati di video-telefono o telecamera per riprendere l’evento allo scopo di diffondere successivamente l’evento sui mezzi di condivisione mediatica e sociale come YouTube.

l’idea “armena” può essere allargata: delle postazioni audio (niente di complicato) con ascolti ’strani’ (non solo musica armena, quindi…) potrebbero essere messe in diversi punti dove passa la gente: all’uscita dei negozi, ecc. Più difficile forse è trasmettere queste cose dentro il supermercato (ci vuole collaborazione).

Appena li ho visti ho pensato subito alla possibilità di un’istallazione che giocasse sulla decontestualizzazione di questi oggetti simboli dell’era mass-mediologica. Prendendo spunto dalle “macchine inutili” di Bruno Munari di giorno col sole sparsi per la città diventerebbero “specchietti per le allodole” mentre di notte con faretti colorati creerebbero riflessi multicolori sui muri delle case.

Data e ora sono confermate:  venerdì 2 maggio, ore 18. Come l’anno scorso, abbiamo scelto di iniziare Verona Risuona dentro uno dei negozi più affollati di Verona: Fnac, appunto.

L’anno scorso Staffan Mossenmark ha diretto un’improvvisazione musicale per 7/8 musicisti sulla base di un video preparato dall’Accademia Cignaroli (vedi la parte iniziale del video: http://veronarisuona2008.wordpress.com/vr-2007-video/).

Quest’anno faremo qualcosa di diverso. Siamo aperti alle proposte…

La proposta del gruppo ThéAtro è la messa in piedi di un funerale che attraverserebbe la città in lungo e in largo. Il funerale (evidentemente finto) sarebbe composto da una bara portata sulle spalle e un piccolo corteo, seguito da musicisti. Il tutto fatto molto seriamente. Solo che ad un certo punto il banda cambia il ritmo della marcia e parte con un ska oppure un ritmo abbastanza andante e noi tutti, restando perfettamente seri, ci si mette a correre… per poi riprendere il ritrmo tradizionale.

Ci servono musicisti!!! Delle trombe preferibilmente!

Mi vengono tante belle memorie dall’anno scorso leggendo il nuovo blog! Vorrei solo dire che saro’ a Verona durante la settimana prima il 3 maggio ed il grande VR2008. Saro’ disponibile a fare qualsiasi cosa! Non vedo l’ora di vedere cosa esce quest’anno=) Con Staffan e’ tutto possibile!

Sono felice che sia partito VRIO ma vedo che nel complesso i progetti, quest’anno, stentano a partire. Provo a dare il mio contributo anche se non ho idee precise. Cercando di dare corpo alle linee guida suggeriteci da Staffan, Mauro e Hugh (tanta gente insieme e appartenente alla società dei “non artisti”), se qualcuno saprebbe già “che cosa fare” ma non sa immaginare il “come” mettere insieme tante persone, a me viene in mente che la moltitudine potrebbe essere costruita coinvolgendo associazioni sportive amatoriali, di volontariato sociale o di fanatici di qualsiasi cosa ci venga in mente. Di solito i loro soci sono tanti, sono già abituati a “fare gruppo” e in genere sono di diversa estrazione sociale.

Abbiamo pensato di abbinare questa proposta – che assomiglia, tra l’altro a qualche idea lanciata da Staffan Mossenmark – alla seguente. Forse può venirne fuori una sintesi…

Un concerto per bidoni della spazzatura? Varie misure, metallo, plastica. Ognuno ne suona uno con le bacchette della batteria o altro. Se ho capito bene, l’orchestra VRIO cercava oggetti sonori.

Io mi trovo d’accordo con l’idea di Piergiorgio ma la adatterei un poco dandole un sottofondo critico. Vista l’emergenza rifiuti a Napoli io proporrei magari di raccogliere in una piazza non solo bidoni ma anche una gran quantità di immondizie di vario tipo (reperibili per la città) e quindi suonarle nei modi che, sul momento, inventeremo.

La proposta di Stefano

io ho pensato ad un’ installazione live in piazza erbe partendo dal concetto di contrappunto rinascimentale, che, per farla spiccia, consiste nella simultaneità di varie linee melodiche da apprezzarsi nella loro orizzontalità. il concetto è terra-terra (quindi studente di composizione calmati, respira a fondo e conta fino a 10; se ci riesci non postare a riguardo), ma è interessante. così procedendo per associazione di idee ho immaginato alle linee melodiche come dei nastri e il loro andamento come al percorso che ognuno dei nastri compie per muoversi nello spazio (che tradotto in musica: tempo). ho immaginato un banco alias battuta nr.1 da cui partono tanti nastri tipo quelli delle fioriste, degli sbirri, quello rossobianco dei muratori ecc… (basta che sia lungo e abbastanza largo; e colorato!) le cui estremità vengono legate allo stesso numero di vettori-uomo che simultaneamente partono e compiono un percorso arbitrario attorno a bancarelle, lampioni, fontana..il tutto dovrebbe risultare più o meno così dalla torre del lamberti (con la buona pace degli studenti dell’ Accademia: ho usato paint)il link della foto è: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevetpics/2326673494/oppure: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevetpics/ e cercare verona2008.

Torno al sasso lanciato nello stagno qualche giorno fa. Letti i commenti relativi, mi chiedevo: è davvero un problema di costi quello di far funzionare insieme per 10 minuti un centinaio di elettrodomestici in una piazza? (facendo un conto approssimativo 1Kw/ora x 100 x 10minuti = meno di 25 kw consumati). Forse è più un problema allestire con i punti di alimentazione un’intera piazza.. Mi sbaglio? Cosa ci possono dire su questo gli elettricisti esperti di allestimento palco all’ascolto? Comunque è interessante anche lo sviluppo in chiave unplagged (quella di alessandro o di qualsiasi altro proponente).

Salve, ho trovato il volantino di Verona Risuona 2008 e mi sono incoriusito, sarei disposto a suonare con il mio progetto/band “The Andy Dandy” voce live+ basi dance/ elettro+ batteria elettronica (per informazioni guardate sul nostro my space), sarebbe bello poter suonare in qualche posto della città magari seguiti anche da un dj set per fare qualcosa di nuovo con effetti e attrezzi tecnologici vari…

la risposta è sì, naturalmente. E se hai qualche idea, anche vaga, di cosa potresti fare, buttalo giù!

mi piacerebbe saperne di più: anche io sto pensando a modi di usare la fotografia che siano diversi, più interessanti o magari solo più divertenti delle solite stampe su muro. Recentemente ho realizzato una animazione di immagini combinate con suoni elaborati da Luca Richelli. Ne è venuta una cosa moooolto interessante, che potrebbe essere usata durante verona risuona, di sera o di notte, proiettandola in uno spazio adatto come si faceva una volta con i cinema all’aperto (Nuovo Cinema Paradiso).
Altrimenti immagino si possa realizzare un altro tipo di installazione nella quale si lavori su un altro tema o con un’altra tecnica, sempre intrecciando tecniche ed arti diverse. Si potrebbe per esempio proiettare una animazione realizzata con acqua (come? boh…. rilancio) che abbia come sonorizzazione il suono stesso della fontana elaborato in diretta da un sound-designer, oppure con musica prodotta da uno strumento che sia basato sull’acqua (vi ricordate il tipo che per un certo periodo ha suonato in Via Cappello servendosi di una quantità di bicchieri di cristallo?).
Siccome siamo amici mi viene in mente che una cosa così la potrebbe fare Tommaso Castiglioni, per l’appunto percussionista e musicista di bravuro fuori dal comune….
Tutto cio’ vi dice qualcosa? Sarebbe bello fare del brain-storming dal vivo,
internet è molto pratico, ma queste cose godereccie vengono meglio a pranzo, a merenda o a cena…. Che ne dite?

Un progetto è stato attivato: “VRIO” – VERONA RISUONA IMPRO ORCHESTRA.
L’obbiettivo: preparare un grande spettacolo di improvvisazioni musicali – con molti strumentisti/cantanti – negli spazi aperti di Verona. Il laboratorio è aperto a tutti. Basta portare uno strumento (tradizionale e/o oggetti sonori) o la propria voce. Ci sarà spazio anche per le vostre proposte di improvvisazioni.
primo incontro: giovedì 6 marzo 2008, ore 20 – 22, INTERZONA (v. Scuderlando 4, VERONA)
successivi incontri: 1) giovedì 10 aprile, ore 20-22; 2) prima del 3 maggio
Informazioni pratiche:
- VRIO è coordinato in collaborazione con Interzona.
- l’obbiettivo di VRIO è di preparare spettacoli/eventi negli spazi aperti di Verona il 3 maggio 2008.
- il laboratorio è condotto da STAFFAN MOSSENMARK.
- chi ha difficoltà di arrivare a Interzona è pregato di contattarci al più presto.
- chi non potrà venire alla prima prova (ma è comunque interessato a partecipare) è pregato di mettersi in contatto con VERONA RISUONA (338 9671192; hugh@interfree.it).

Più che una proposta, questo è un “aggiornamento”: per dire che l’incontro dell’orchestra di improvvisatori (VRIO) ad Interzona giovedì scorso è stato un successone. Eravamo in circa 40, di tutti i tipi… Staffan in gran forma. Risultato artistico altissimo. Quindi questo progetto SICURAMENTE va avanti. Prossimo incontro giovedì 10 aprile.
Ho raccolto i recapiti dei presenti. Ora mi servono i nomi e email di tutti quelli che non potevano venire (o non sapevano) ma che contano di esserci. Molti mi hanno avvisato; altrimenti scrivetemi a hugh@interfree.it.
Siamo pronti anche a ricevere suggerimenti su come e dove sistemare questa chiassosa massa di persone il 3 maggio. Le proposte vanno scritte qui sul blog.

How does one attract the attention of the Veronese?

Since I took part in the workshop last year I can say that we don’t necessarily need to do the same thing for the installations. The important thing is to have strong ideas. I think that the most important question has already been raised: WHAT IS GOING TO STRIKE THE VERONESE??? Well, you should know, I’m from Brescia!

By creating not only a sound installation, but also something visual. I think we need:
-advertising on the internet on sites such as livepoint, veronavip, ecc..
-leaving flyers and leaflets in bars, shops, schools and other places..
-word of mouth

The only cost would be photocopying and time

Perhaps we should organize meetings in various places (university, clubs, etc.) to let people know what is happening

All ideas about how to make attention are really important: to use the web, mail and websites, to spread posters, flyers and to talk with people.
The ideas to make concert for animals is really fantastic, fun and crazy at the same time. Let´s!!
At last, it´s really important that you all now take contacts with friends, people at your school, to spread the idea of the Verona Sounds/Risuona, tell them about the blog and so on! We will have a new meeting in week 12, where we will try to start organizing the ideas until now. Good work until now and go on, think wild – free your mind and the rest will follow !

BROADCASTING (DIFFUSIONE)

We could broadcast everything that is performed on skype or msn… to as many contacts as possible asking them to broadcast everything in turn etc, etc. so that we block the internet with what we are doing in Verona.

GENERAL

Lemi’s question – when do we meet? – is a good one. Getting everyone together in the same room is impossible, but I have booked the auditorium of the Conservatory for late afternoon on 19 March (that’s the day Staffan Mopssenmark returns to Verona). I’m suggesting that we organize a series of ‘thematic’ meetings that week on the individual projects, on documents, publicity, organizing the final party, etc.

The cloister of the University: it can been from the street. The old slaughter house has seen too much ‘blood’. Things go wrong there: shops close down and nobody goes to the exhibitions… Apart from that it is also a bit distant from the main routes, but perhaps one could find a way of getting people there. For example a long time ago I went to a concert in a small town in the mountains. Just before the event there was nobody there. So we went into the main square and began to play and fool around. Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin we got them following us into the theatre.

PROJECTS

AFRICA

I would like to organize a long line of Africans in Via Mazzini, from Piazza Bra to Piazza Erbe. Since they are not welcome in the city, particularly in Via Mazzini, this could be a demonstration of their right to be in public places. I think the African don’t feel welcome in Verona. It would be a great spectacle and impossible not to see.

Great idea, but it should be a party in which they play, sing, dance, cook and above all teach us all these things. But would they agree? Perhaps yes, if we offer help, equipment, and if we invite them to take part, but we should take the responsibility of the organization. A simple demonstration (if that’s what you wanted) seems too much like a polemic “against” (our intolerance, their problems, our ignorance), but I think we should see it as an exchange, as a willingness to receive. Perhaps they should also get something from us, because if there is no mixing and one goes there just to look at the party, we just increase the distance between us.

I totally agree. It mustn’t be a demonstration, which could create a distance but also conflict. People should see the spectacle a san invitation.

First of all we should contact the ‘cultural mediators’ and discover the availability of the various ethnic communities. Many (those it would be interesting to involve) don’t get involved; they create their own private ghettos and don’t want to mix with ‘us’. That’s a fact. If the need doesn’t come from them (that’s why you need a mediator) it will be seen as a form of racism and paternalism. These are delicate matters.

I think the idea of mixing cultures is great and very important. We must do it. I’m happy to meet them and convince them. Excellent.

I think we should develop the idea in a different way. I’ve gone to events where every culture shows itself and makes itself known, also getting the audience involved. So I think we should organize the meeting of cultures in a way that is completely different and unusual (I’m think about it…)

Does anyone know Ernesto? He has a great group of African dance and percussion, together with Europeans. Here in Verona. They could play at the end, perhaps. The line of Africans in silence could be great and surreal, with music at the end. It makes you think and also very visual, celebrating differences.

To show how African and European music have the same roots and equal dignity we could have the Africans played in front of a conductor in evening dress, while European instrumentalists playing in front the African equivalent who beats time. Even more interesting would be to invert the pieces played: classical for the Africans, African for the Europeans.

Another thing: some African instruments are not ‘musical instruments’ as we understand them. They are first tuned to the voice of the person who plays them (and not the other way round, as with us). So each person has a personal instrument. These instruments ARE (not ‘represent’) the spirit of one’s dead ancestors and the sound of the instrument is the ‘voice’ of that spirit. This could be shown in performance. Dress up one of us as a spirit who emits sounds until an African actually ‘plays’ him. Or get someone to play a harp or violin according to their methods of tuning.

I met someone from Nigeria called Peter and I have contacted Ernesto. Peter says that all Africans have costumes at home. There could be a costume competition, as an incentive. But we need to be PRACTICAL, and get them involved from the beginning in Phase 2 of the project. I think that the documentary “L’Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio” is a must-to-see for who will work on this project. It’ s a kind of orchestra born in Rome, composed by 21 people from different countries.

The best way to realize this thing is mixing foreign musicians with our known musicians in Verona, without any kind of “academic” approach to the music that will surely be a limit with the interaction with these people (I suppose they have no formal training to the music). The social message will come out between the lines, I’d avoid discussing political or social matters, since the music and the enjoyment would already be the best message.

Perhaps we could organize routes that MAKE the bikes sound. I mean: if for example we put down a series of wooden poles separated by a few centimetres you make a noise like a drum roll.

I think something that was done in Gothenburg in a previous Mossenmark project: bikes going over poles, etc. At least I saw pictures on his website: www.mossenmark.com. (click on ‘workshop’, then ‘lyud’). That doesn’t mean we can’t do it: but do it different… and better! Perhaps we could contact the guys in Gothenburg and see if they want to join.

I like the idea of the bikes. We could disguise them as horses and then dress up as knights and have a battle between knights on bicycles. Or we could dress up some bikes as cows and show a scene of a ‘herd’ of bicycles being herded through the city by a cowboy (or cowgirl) with the right noises being made by those on the bikes. Perhaps to the accompaniment of suitable musical instruments (but I wouldn’t know that: I’m an ‘art’ student)

There are two societies in Verona that do things like medieval sword-fighting. One is called “Lame scaligere”. They do really nice things, mixing fighting and theatre.

Here is a suggestion, using the bicycle as a means of transportation and sound gathering. A group of cyclists meet in Piazza Bra. Some are sporting cyclists, some recreational. Each brings a bicycle, a microphone and tape recorder. At a signal, they begin recording and depart along radiating roads out of the city, until they reach a place which they recognize as ‘country’. The definition of ‘country’ is theirs. They bicycle around, collecting country sounds, until the tape is finished. Then they turn the tape over, press ‘Record’ again, and cycle back to Piazza Bra. Back in the square, they play back their tapes for passers-by to hear, and answer questions about their journeys. At the end of the recital, their tapes are archived as raw material for a repeat performance, broadcasting, or recomposition.

The idea to make a mobile concert with bicycles with different sounds is great and it is easy to make it happen, so if the bicycle orchestra has 20-25 members or more it will be nice sounds around the city. Stefanos idea to make a lot of sounds at the same place will be nice, and I think it will be fun to look at too, at the same time.

GARBAGE CONTAINERS (BIDONI)

Have crashes between garbage containers hat contain different. So they’ll make different noises also according to how they come together.

FOOD (CIBO)

To start with I can? say that I make a good tuna paté. And good bread too.

I would set up a gazebo in Piazza Caliari, which is right opposite Macdonalds. Under it I would put bread and paté (quantities to be decided). This is distributed until all the food runs out. After tasting each visitor gives a grade or mark from 1 to 9 on a keyboard connected to a laptop which gives a sound (different for each grade) and memorizes the grade. Throughout the installation the air will resound with an elaboration (by Mauro Graziani) of the words “tuna paté”. Those giving out the paté will be dressed up as tunas (difficult) or at least wearing aprons or something with a tuna logo (to be designed).

Do it under the “umbrella” of the “5 senses”? To make food performance/concert in public places (Mac Donalds?) microphones/amplified salads, zucchini, carrots and so on. After that, the food is for free to the audience. This will be fun and a nice comment to all commercial business in town.

FIVE SENSES (CINQUE SENSI)

Hey, what splendid ideas have already come out in such a short time! We would need a month to perform all the ideas that come out from now to April !
I’m just an ordinary guy but I think we should think of the “strings” we want to touch: we have talked of energy saving, immigration and “pure” sound events …very interesting. And if we are doing things in different location we really need a “unifying factor”… above all for the spectators to make them want to go everywhere.
Here’s my idea. And as old as the world, but always relevant: THE FIVE SENSES . Such as: Music (perhaps in the dark, as someone else suggested) and VISUAL ARTS in front of the conservatory and academy to show the Veronese where they are and that they are not rare beasts but places that are alive and can be visited by all; FOOD in front of MacDonald to show how awful it is….and perhaps even a mix of food-music, touch-sound somewhere half-way between the two places.

The title made me think rather of a musical description of the 5 senses. I have nothing in mind, but it would be nice to create a musical moment for taste, one for sight, etc. For example, for ‘touch’ a group of people could rub pieces of cloth and create a rhythm.

ENERGY

We talk a lot about energy and how to use it. It’s one of the big subjects.

SO LET’S TURN EVERYTHING OFF!

The only energy we use is our own. The concert could start by turning off all those energy guzzlers (microphones, stereos, motors, machines). A sudden silence should plunge us into the void in which the protagonists are ourselves and our bodies. With our bodies we could produce a noise even bigger that what was before.

This needs thinking about, but perhaps it could lead to something…

I like this idea of turning everything off. Perhaps we could turn off all the lights in a street and then at one end start to produce sound with our bodies and then introduce more and more sounds (always with our bodies and voices). And as we approach the lights start going on (like in an ad where a guy walks along a street and the lights light up behind him). Or perhaps the opposite: they go out bit by bit.

Thinking of the noises around us that we think irritate us, it would be interesting to give them a new ‘aura’. For example, I train in a boxing gym and we warm up by skipping on a rope. When there are 3 or 4 people doing it, it is irritating. But if there 20 or 30, it could become a concert.

I think that’s OK, because it could act as a ‘launch event’. We will let you know of developments.

MUSIC IN STRANGE PLACES (MUSIC IN LUOGHI INSOLITI)

Following the philosophy of taking music places where you do not expect to find it I propose organizing miniconcerts in the strangest places: the toilets of bars, the balconies of private houses, public parks, bus stops, cross roads, etc.

Advantages: every group takes the responsibility of taking instruments, equipments and getting permission, etc.

Disadvantages: I don’t know how you get round copyright laws (one big permit for the whole event?) and public order (perhaps best to do small things at a low volume).

RESTITUTION OF ENTERTAINMENT (RESTITUZIONE DI INTRATTENIMENTO)

My idea is that one mustn’t insist too much on the planning something that has human beings as an audience.
For example it would be good to make all the animals that pass through Piazza Bra or Piazza Erbe listen to music or mp3s with walkmans . Or to make proper concerts for animals. Everything up in the trees: who said that they do not hear? Or we could make photos of ourselves and give them to monuments of Verona, hanging them on the Arena or poor old Cangrande della Scala! It is the least we can do, since he is to be found on the hard disks of millions of Japanese!

Joking aside, what I understood from Mossenmark was that these installations must give something to those involved. For example more than the noisy concert for Harleys, I like the concert for body-builders. That was more than the noise of iron on asphalt. It was giving visibility to people who are intrinsically exhibitionist, and that’s why it worked: they got their 15 minutes of celebrity.

So I propose a restitution of entertainment to those who have to smile and stay still while we take photos and who have to stay at home when we go away.

Obviously the photos could be taken before the actual date of the event.

Is there any way we could use the Japanese tourists? After all they owe the city something. And I find that they are generally always happy to get involved.

Tononi’s idea of not playing (and/or performing) only and exclusively for human beings, but also for animals, plants, monuments, zucchini, paving stones, sausages and anything else is extraordinary!! And in a city like Verona (Tononi is from Brescia, right?) there are places where plants and monuments go particularly well together: I think of the Ginkobiloba and the Scala palaces in Piazza delle Poste, the trees in Piazza Bra with the Arena and all the rest, the gardens designed by Scarpa behind Castelvecchio, and the bridge over the Adige at Castelvecchio…I was also forgetting Castel San Pietro with the view of all Verona and the Roman theatre below.
The idea of uniting a performance for nature and monuments is a fine idea and also possible…. Perhaps it could be combined with my idea of the FIVE SENSES…

Performing for monuments: I see that the Torre dei Lamberti has been packaged for restoration or cleaning. And the packaging has been done really well so as to seem a work of art. Why not stress this point by giving tourists postcards of the packaged tower. And perhaps play the bells so that you get the message that it still functions as a tower.

I thought it would be good to create a room with live music but completely in the dark. I have tried it and you hear …twice as much. It is a great sensation. I know that anyone can do it at their own home but few people do it, especially with live music.

The idea of the dark room is good, but I would combine it with movement: find a way of making the listener perceive the sound moving around him, give him a spatial dimension to listening, or even find a way of allowing the spectator to move “freely” and try different “positions” with respect to the source of sound.

I’m imagining a situation. Do you know the dynamic cinema at Gardaland (theme park near Verona)? … Well my idea is derived from a memory of that. Mine is an example: dark room, music, spectators. An enormous sheet that passes over our heads. Or drops of water (not bottles of water!) that come from God knows where. “Make the music concrete”.

I suggest using some improvisers: there’s an improvisation class at the Conservatory that is taking part in the project. We could use them.

I’m think of playing with light in another way. The dark room could be a “shadow room”, either before or after in the same place… or even in the open in Verona if there is a good wall. Light technicians could put the lights in such a way as to create shadows against which musicians could improvise. You could also have a video recording projected onto the wall and recording of pieces of music, replayed and re-interpreted…
It could be done with just one instrument and a candle! Or lots of both!

The idea to work with a dark room is good and interesting, It´s true that all sounds grow much bigger in a place where you can´t see where the sound comes from and what kind of instrument/object makes the sound. If it´s possible to find a galleria or central place (maybe a tent?) where it´s easy for the public to find and go to this darkroom, it will work good.

To do the thing properly the 100 trolley drivers should be dressed as commuters going to work, nurses, teachers, supermarket cashiers, businessmen, etc. – a kind of cross-section of our society seen through the noises of this new fetish of modern society!

I like the idea of a continuous shout… created by having several people giving out a shout of 2 or 3 seconds. Imagine someone shouting outside the Gran Guardia [big building in Piazza Bra]. Five meters to the left another one does the same and so on, until it goes all the way round Piazza Bra! I don’t know what the effect would be like. But it’d be fun to do!

I wonder why nobody has made a suggestion about cell phones. I don’t want to force anyone, but it seems strange that nobody has mentioned it since this is an object we carry around with us all day.

Perhaps because it has already been done … Perhaps we could collect hundreds of discarded phones from the Eco-Centres. You can loads of them because they are classified as dangerous (because of the batteries) and then we hurl them against aginst things (not my car please!) or we could have a game of baseball using cell-phones instead of a ball, using the whole square, with the spectators that use ring tones instead of shouting?

A bit of Nordic skiing in the centre of Verona? If you use artificial carpets you can do wonders, but even without is OK.

Using catapults that to launch into the air coloured stuff that then falls to the round and creates strange paterns and makes strange sounds (ploc plic plac)?

Create some low doors (I suggest 1 metre 20 centimetres) in the main streets (Via Mazzini) so that people have pass under it and do a kind of “limbo dance” (with perhaps an amplifier to amplify the sound if they fall over)?

Put some tape recorder in the churches and play recordings of Musilim rites and do the same (put Christian singing) in a mosque (is there one in Verona?) and then compare the reactions?

Finally after sleepless nights I know how to use the Japanese tourists! I thought about a concert for “prepared Japanese tourists”. As for John Cage’s prepared piano production I thought about customizing the feet and the shoes of the Japanese tourists in Verona so that they’ll make different noises all around the city center. We could use plastic shopping bags, aluminium (for wrapping food), plastic paper baskets etc… or we could build customized shoes with small stones inside, or water, or shells, plastic toys, etc…

Stefano’s last message provoked a (friendly!) discussion between Stefano and Mauro. The main issue raise by Mauro was: What is the point of proposing things that are either 1) impossible or 2) expensive and require too much technology? (e.g. amplifying the sound of the water of the river Adige using lots of microphones; tuning the car horns of Verona to emit a particular note; getting everybody’s burglar alarms to sound at the same time; “bugging” the shops and restaurants so that the noises made inside are broadcast outside; etc.

Mauro also said that Stefano’s shoes would 1) be a mess after a few minutes and 2) probable wouldn’t make much noise. Why not use flamenco shoes, high heels or those shoes which make the air whistle (a type made in Taiwan some time ago).

Stefano protested that his idea (“prepared Japanese tourists”) was possible – he reckons that you can persuade the tourist parties that go to Juliet’s balcony – and that it also has the merit of costing absolutely nothing. Paolo also likes the idea of the “prepared Japanese” and promises to help Stefano. For the “well-tempered Japanese” he suggests that the best way of making their feet sound is to tie bells to their shoes (or perhaps Coke cans: poor but effective)… Maybe we could get them sing something too (if some musicians accompany them).

Hugh suggested that perhaps the two ideas could be separated: 1) do something with/for the Japanese tourists at Juliet’s Balcony; and 2) do something else for ‘prepared feet’. He suggested using football boots and perhaps either involving either 1) real football teams (young players) to run up and down the main streets or 2) people who want ‘advertise’ something (a company could hire groups of people to put on special boots and run around the city advertising something: a variation of the ‘sandwich men’)

The ‘Veronese face’: all you need is a box and a kind of ‘box’ where people can sit on a stool and have their photo taken via webcam; it’s important that all the faces are taken frontally and at the same distance and height. Then there is a software that accumulates the images and creates the ‘average face’. (one for each sex). After about a thousand faces we can publish the average face of the people in Verona.

Paolo’s ideas:

1) A very simple idea. Get a dozen people (passers-by) in a circle and a “conductor” who can direct an improvised version of a musical canon that everybody knows and make it to go faster and faster until the sounds are thrown back and forth. You need a good conductor to do this (one who is good at improvising choir games).

2) All those free newspapers that are distributed every morning? Enough to drive you mad. We could get 30 or more people to dress up as paper boys/girls and go around annoying people in a ridiculous way.

3) Get hundreds balloons or more. One balloon each (they cost nothing) and at a fixed time we explode them in some funny way. Perhaps we could get into the Guinness Book of Records.

4) A huge game of “musical chairs” like we did when we were young, only much bigger. With live music and LOTS MORE CHAIRS. Maybe it’s not so brilliant but it could give someone else an idea.

I think we need some other ideas for choirs: there are a lot of people who sing in Verona… and not only opera. Why not have a series of “marching choirs” that go around the streets of the centre surprising people? I’m thinking of the marching choirs of the American Marines that you see in films, but there are lots of other ways of doing it. You can walk, trot, run and move in other ways, make gestures with your hands, etc. There is also the “silly walk” of Groucho Marx and Monty Python.

I suggest the choirs form teams (say, 12-15 people) and they go around the town making sounds in a perfectly synchronized way. Singing, sounds, noises, anything. There could also be ‘silent choirs’ that only move and make gestures.

Even the way you dress could be important: evening dress, leather jackets, plastic clothes, etc. It would be good to get the military involved as well, but I don’t know how they would react (has anyone got a friend or relation who is a soldier?).

HOW TO TAKE PART

Hi everyone! And thanks for taking an interest in “Verona Risuona-Verona Sounds”. These are just a few notes to help you understand the project and learn how this blog works.

THE REASON FOR THIS PROJECT

- to break down certain barriers;

- to find new audiences and to communicate with the people of Verona;

- to make people from different fields (academies, schools, work places, other) work together as artists;

- to get out of the concert halls, theatres and studios and to enter public spaces (squares, streets, courtyards, shops, etc.).

THE THREE PHASES OF THE PROJECT

• Phase I (15 February – 19 March): a month to get to know each other, ask questions, speak to your friends, make proposals; and above all, to use the blog as a ‘mind map’.

• Phase II (19 March – 23 April): the realization phase: to decide which ideas to use; to create the working groups; to resolve problems (authorizations, etc,); to create a ‘map of the events’; to a organize a press conference, involve the media and decide on documentation (video, etc.); to organize the ‘final party’.

• Phase III (23 – 28 April): final touches; rehearsals; performances; final party.

We are studying the possibility of taking the project – or a part of it – to Gothenburg in Sweden for the autumn of 2007. No promises…

THE BLOG: NOTES AND SUGGESTIONS

• The languages of the blog are Italian and English. Most people will probably be using Italian, but English is fine. People who don’t understand Italian can expect to find resumes of the discussion from time to time. Time is limited, so don’t waste time and make your proposals/comments: all suggestions are useful. Just write where it says “LEAVE A REPLY” and click.

• The project is truly interdisciplinary; we don’t just deal with sounds.

• What to write? First of all, who you are. Then any ideas you might have:

  • what do you want to do? (installation, concert, action…)

  • how many people are needed? (few, many, …)

  • skills needed, if any? (painters, carpenters, cooks, children, singers, dancers, African percussionists, other, …)

  • equipment needed, if any? (kitchen equipment, footballs, bikes, electronic stuff, anything else, …)

  • an idea of ‘where’? (square, street, bell-tower, shop, art gallery, …)

• Some projects might be more complicated to stage (permission, authorizations, police, etc.); in this case Conservatory of Verona, the school organizing the project, might help you to solve the problem.

• No aeroplanes!

I gruppi girano per la città entrando in luoghi pubblici (negozi, bar e simili).

Qundo un gruppo ha preso posizione lancia un segnale convenuto a un altro gruppo (sms?) e ognuno di questi ultimi chiama il suo corrispondente nell’altro gruppo, facendo suonare tutte le suonerie contemporaneamente. Naturalmente i chiamati non rispondono, ma si limitano a estrarre i cellulari per far sentire a tutti un estemporaneo concertino. Poi chiudono e se ne vanno.

La cosa si può fare anche fra varie città lontanissime fra loro.

Per la coordinazione del progetto, a meno che il mio omonimo non voglia prendere in mano la situazione, mi offro io.

Per la squillata di gruppo si potrebbe coinvolgere tutti i partecipanti di tutti i progetti: tanto dura un minuto, ormai (quasi) tutti hanno il telefonino, e potrebbe essere un simpatico modo di “darci il La” prima di partire con il resto.

Pensavo inoltre, magari con un paio di gruppi di telefonisti, di creare delle suonerie apposite per esempio
- un gruppo registrato in Do maggiore e l’altro in Sol maggiore, in modo ad ogni chiamata corrisponda una simpatica cadenza
- con i più moderni telefonini possiamo anche usare file mp3 contenenti, a piacere, messaggi subliminali e/o satanici, o più semplicemente farci una bieca pubblicità – DRIN DRIN. DRIN DRIN. VERONA RISUONA. DRIN DRIN…

allora… ho sempre voluto fare qualcosa di diverso sul mio strumento. Mossenmark ha voluto che scrivessi un brano per questo duo si chiama ”Beauty and the Beast”. Siamo faccendo un audizione per trattore e dovrebbe essere un bel suono; prossimamente facciamo le prove. Sarebbe bello in Piazza Bra se non in Arena (se era aperta per tutti). Ho bisogno di amplificazione e forse un tecnico electronico per fare qualche modificazione della suono del arpa… Qualcuno è disponibile a collaborare ?

Tutti fotografano il ponte, ma qualcuno si è mai preoccupato di quello che il ponte vede tutto il giorno? I partecipanti possono fotografare tutto DAL ponte quello che vogliono con delle polaroid (magari bisognerà spingerli a non fare la solita foto alla collina del santuario o a castel san pietro!) che dopo si attaccano sul lastricato centrale del ponte (facendo scorrere la gente sui due “marciapiedi laterali”). A fine giornata il ponte sarà le nostre immagini.
Un’altra versione è che noi belli imbragati (io lo faccio volentieri) attacchiamo queste immagini ai lati del ponte. Molto più spettacolare, ma non so se la soprintendenza sarebbe felice di colle e scotch vari&eventuali sul ponte.
Ma la musica dov’è? Si portano apparecchi con cuffie (aipod lettori cidì ecc) e infilare le cuffie fra i mattoni del ponte (da un lato solo del ponte così possiamo tener d’occhio gli apparecchi): così anche lui può per un giorno evitare di ascoltare il traffico come fa tutti i giorni e infilarsi le cuffie come noi nel traffico.
Lo sponsor dovrà per forza essere il gentil negozio che ci presta le polaroid e i materiali di consumo.

Ecco il coordinatore!
Il gioco é lievemente cambiato: dar vita al ponte pietra attraverso i SUOI sensi, che anche se non sono 5 direi che nessuno si impicca di tristezza.
Per la vista rimane il gioco suddetto:polaroid dei passanti dal ponte donati al ponte come fossero i suoi occhi, quello che vede tutti i giorni. E questo è il punto più delicato: se non si trovano a verona negozio/negozi che prestano le macchine fotografiche e i materiali di consumo il progetto decade. Oppure si devia su:
-negozi di tecnologia (ben più numerosi e con capitali più alti) che forniscono stampante per stampare al momento foto digitali con la mia/vostra macchinetta (in caso non mettano loro anche quella). Possibile anche che una marca di stampanti debitamente contattata da me/noi sia disponible a farsi pubblicità lì al posto che nei soliti negozi.
-come prima, ma porto la mia stampantina sfigata e si stampa da lì: unico costo, ma più che sopportabile le enne cartucca di colore.
Per il suono si infilano le cuffie nei mattoni del ponte e i passanti possono scegliere da dei fogli stampati le canzoni da far ascoltare al ponte (e magari anche a tutti noi con delle casse) che andranno in pleilist.
Ampiamente disponibile a qualsivoglia suggerimento, rimostranza partecipazione (oltre a quella di Lemi, che si era offerto di spalleggiarmi),

Ponte di Castelvecchio.
Da uno dei due capi del ponte, che sono già abbastanza in ombra per gli affari loro, si crea un ambiente all’interno buio (con gazebi e teloni) che occupi per la larghezza il ponte: la gente che deve passare è quindi obbligata a transitare all’interno, dove ci saranno dei musicisti che suonano e si spostano (la famosa classe pronta a tutto di cui parlava hugh). Si potrà godere la musica al buio con spostamento di fonte sonora. Lo spostamento poi è doppio, perché è di chi cammina e di chi suona.
Si può chiedere il patrocinio di “m’illumino di meno” e pubblicizzare anche la ditta che ci fornisce i tendoni per farceli dare a costo zero.

Io mi proporrei per la stanza buia sebbene
a-non abbia idea di dove trovare un luogo centrale e buio. Mi vien in mente il malacarne sebbene non sia centralissimo…O il mazziano (ma ci sono le luci d’emergenza…).In ogni caso l’esibizione dovrebbe essere a orari prefissati e non dovrebe durare più di 5 minuti altrimenti il progetto diviene fase REM…
b-circa la musica elettronica provo a sentire se trovo qualcuno disponibile. Forse un nome ce l’ho.

Intanto. Descrizione esatta del progetto:
Lunedì 30 Aprile, ad un’ ora verso fine pomeriggio (da decidere), in una via di Verona (da decidere, per fortuna che era una descrizione precisa), avverrà un’ esplosione a catena di un cospicuo numero di palloncini. L’ idea della catena (o domino) di palloncini è stata preferita rispetto alla singola “detonazione” proprio per valorizzare il concetto “musicale” della cosa, inteso come evento sonoro di una certa durata. E anche per “valorizzare”, diciamo così, l’ intervento di ogni singola persona. Con Mossenmark, pensavamo che una cosa utile per la riuscita di quest’ evento, sarebbe partire una mezz’ ora-venti minuti prima con un discreto numero di persone che già sanno come funziona l’ evento e cosa devono fare. I migliori candidati per questa cosa sono tutti coloro che partecipano a Verona Risuona (e non sono in quel momento vincolati dai loro progetti) e alcuni loro amici fidati. Diciamo che se ognuno dei “collaboranti” a VR, riuscisse ad avvertire 3 o 4 amici di questa cosa, potremmo già partire con un discreto numero di persone (100?) al quale si aggiungerebbero tutti i “curiosi” che nella giornata matta Veronese sono venute a conoscenza di questa cosa.

Ok, passo ad elencare gli “ingredienti”:

Materiale “UMANO”:

• Coordinatore: IO
• 2-3 persone responsabili, insieme a me delle cose principali. A questo ci penso io… Fra amici e conoscenze teatranti dovrei trovare le persone adatte. Mi servirà, ma dovrei averla già trovata, una persona spigliata che sappia intrattenere con simpatia una grande folla (ripeto, dovrei averla già trovata).
• Un discreto numero di “collaboranti” (leggasi sopra) che partecipino al progetto per una mezz’ora. Queste persone devono sapere già in anticipo cosa succederà, anche per dare una mano a me e alle 2-3 altre persone che saranno con me, a far andar bene le cose (quindi per dire a dire alla signora anziana che cosa deve fare, per dire al bambino che il palloncino non si ingoia, ecc..)
• Il resto della folla. Ecco purtroppo un problema è quello di non sapere “prevederne” il numero. Esiste il rischio di preparare una cosa immensa, per poi ritrovarsi in quattro gatti, oppure quello di preparare una cosa modesta per poi avere il rimpianto di non avere “osato”.

Materiale “CONCRETO”:

• 1000 Palloncini. Tanti? Boh, in virtù del dubbio di poche righe sopra direi di poter “osare”. Da questo sito http://www.balloonstore.it ho potuto verificare che il costo di un migliaio di palloncini si aggira intorno ai 60 euri (peccato che abbiano sospeso le vendite per ora). Fra l’ altro si potrebbe chiedere uno sconto, in cambio di una piccola sponsorizzazione (non so come funzioni, ma preferirei fare a chi più ne capisce di me).
• Stuzzicadenti, vabbè per esplodere i palloncini, costo stimato non lo so, diciamo 6 euro?
• Compressore per gonfiare i palloni. Eh qui il problema NON è trovare il compressore (dovrebbe avercelo una mia amica), ma avere la corrente elettrica a cui attaccare l’ apparecchio. Purtroppo non vedo altre soluzioni, a meno che non si voglia mettere su un team polmoni apposito per il gonfiaggio dei palloncini.
• Megafono o microfono + amplificatore per chitarra, per poter comunicare con “la folla” da lontano e dare istruzioni.
• Implicito, ma non indispensabile, videocamere con cui documentare l’ evento (e poi magari fare un montaggio carino che segue tutta la “scia”).

Quale posto sarebbe più adatto? Pensavo che l’ ideale sarebbe partire da una piccola piazza che poi si dirama in qualche via ancora più piccola… Poi se arriva un numero incredibile di persone si fa presto ad “allungare” la fila e creare nuovi percorsi…

Ognuno di voi, può fare un sondaggio presso i propri amici e parenti per chiedere chi sarebbe disposto a far parte di quel team di partenza, di persone “selezionate” che sanno già tutto e che hanno quella mezz’ ora da perdere per fare andare bene l’ evento? Quando lo sapete mi mettete un commento qua sul blog con scritto solo il numero? Più siamo “di base” più esponenzialmente riusciremo ad “accalappiare” persone nella nostra impresa.

Aggiungo una cosa, l’idea guinness dei primati è scartata: esistono complicanze economiche e “burocratiche” a riguardo, che a mio avviso sono un po’ ridicole, dato che da quanto leggo sul sito del libro dei record bisognerebbe pagare il soggiorno in italia a dei fantomatici “giudici” provenienti da chissà dove, il tutto con un preavviso di oltre un mese. Ma per carità…

Con un microfono si amplificano stofinii di verdure, sbattimenti di frutta o quant’altro (come so si fa in alcuni film per creare suoni come squartamenti vari, ruggiti di dinosauri ecc) e al momento qualcuno tipo mauro li mixa per creare musica al momento e/o si fa in modo di dare a coloro che perforano pochi pulsanti versione gigante e non danneggiabile (stile pulsanti del quizzone) perché mixino anche loro. Aggiungendo alla gamma dei suoni da mixare anche gli “mhhh..”
“umhhh…” di piacere di coloro che mangiano il gioco secondo me si raffina.
Mi piaceva anche l’idea di far suonare le preferenze da 0 a 10 delle tartine col patè di tonno. Io ci aggiungerei anche la preferenza a una bevanda…che è tutto più completo. Si possono anche fare tutte e due. Soprattutto perché se c’è anche da mangiare aumenta la gente quindi la festa e quindi i suoni da mixare: il cibo è socializzazione e sottolineare questo rubando i suoni dei ciacolii derivati dalla coesione sarebbe un bel modo per sottolinearlo.

Primo problema: dove recuperare i cellulari vecchi?

I gruppi girano per la città entrando in luoghi pubblici (negozi, bar e simili).

Qundo un gruppo ha preso posizione lancia un segnale convenuto a un altro gruppo (sms?) e ognuno di questi ultimi chiama il suo corrispondente nell’altro gruppo, facendo suonare tutte le suonerie contemporaneamente. Naturalmente i chiamati non rispondono, ma si limitano a estrarre i cellulari per far sentire a tutti un estemporaneo concertino. Poi chiudono e se ne vanno.

La cosa si può fare anche fra varie città lontanissime fra loro.

• dopo quanto tempo di non risposta, la chiamata si blocca?

Trovare le persone e il materiale (corde…)

no scherzi a parte quello che ci aveva insegnato Mossenmark è che con queste installazioni bisogna saper dare qualcosa a chi viene coinvolto. ad esempio a me più che il roboante concerto per le harley, aveva colpito il concerto per culturisti. la genialità di quella installazione andava oltre il suono prodotto dai tondini contro l’ asfalto. stava proprio nell’ aver dato visibilità a delle persone intrinsecamente esibizioniste, e la cosa funzionava proprio per questo, perchè gli esecutori ci credevano veramente, consumando i loro famosi 15 minuti di celebrità.

quindi io avanzo la mia proposta di “restituzione di intrattenimento” a chi ci deve sempre sorridere e stare fermo mentre facciamo foto o stare a casa mentre noi ce ne andiamo ai concerti. [stefano tononi]

Creare non solo un installazione sonora, ma che visivamente trasmetta di più.Per attirare l’attenzione dei veronesi secondo me serve:
-Pubblicità su internet nei siti come livepoint, veronavip, ecc..
-Volantinaggio nei locali, negozi, scuole e città..
-Passaparola

Preparatevi psicologicamente che il post è lungo e palloso, ma così s’ha ddafà!
In questi giorni ho cercato di dare all’idea dei Cinque Sensi una veste il più possibile realizzabile, e di unirla al consiglio di Steffan di riunire altri progetti sotto l’”ombrello”. Non sono citati i nomi di tutti i progetti degli altri che ho utilizzato, perché tanto chi li ha scritti lo sa e ci si vede lunedì e lì si discute il più possibile. Questo post serve per dare la possibilità a chi non ci sarà alla riunione di esprimere lo stesso il proprio parere (soprattutto contrario, sennò come si migliora il progetto??).
Di quello che ho scritto ci sono cose entusiasmanti altre carine alcune schifose, ma meglio qualcosa di schifoso da contestare e quindi poi migliorare che il vuoto totale.
Fate un respiro profondo e partiamo.

L’evento ha come centro quello che è il vero centro di Verona: piazza Bra. Si può fare un breve show di apertura per radunare gente, poi rimane fisso in piazza un bello stand il più grande e visibile possibile che da informazioni per i luoghi dell’evento e da cui regolarmente partono convogli di interessati guidati da noi verso le diverse location. Dipende da quanta gente ci sarà ma sarebbe bello anche fare dei convogli eterogenei di giovani anziani italiani stranieri ognuno guidato da uno di noi attraverso tutte le tappe: favorirebbe la socializzazione. Ovviamente sarebbe ancora meglio che non ci si diriga verso le location passeggiando e basta, ma facendo azioni che richiamino il luogo dove si stanno dirigendo e che noi gli faremo fare. Ne ho pensate alcune (provenienti da idee altrui), ma meglio non scriverle per non allungare il già interminabile post!
Ogni location ha il nome di uno dei cinque sensi e (incredibile!) saranno 5. Ovviamente chiamandosi l’evento “VeronaRISUONA” ho cercato di dare musicalità ad ognuno dei sensi.
Ho pensato ai ponti:
- luoghi pubblici per eccellenza
- racchiudono il centro storico
- sono un punto di passaggio obbligatorio
- facilmente vedibili e raggiungibili
- una volta che i partecipanti sanno che gli eventi sono sui ponti sanno che basta seguire il lungadige per arrivare all’evento successivo e sono così invogliati a farne più di uno
- quelli che ho scelto hanno dei posti adatti a performare
Provo a elencare gli eventi, con il loro luogo e magari un possibile sponsor.

Ponte di Castelvecchio.
Da uno dei due capi del ponte, che sono già abbastanza in ombra per gli affari loro, si crea un ambiente all’interno buio (con gazebi e teloni) che occupi per la larghezza il ponte: la gente che deve passare è quindi obbligata a transitare all’interno, dove ci saranno dei musicisti che suonano e si spostano (la famosa classe pronta a tutto di cui parlava hugh). Si potrà godere la musica al buio con spostamento di fonte sonora. Lo spostamento poi è doppio, perché è di chi cammina e di chi suona.
Si può chiedere il patrocinio di “m’illumino di meno” e pubblicizzare anche la ditta che ci fornisce i tendoni per farceli dare a costo zero.

In teoria a verona ci sono ancora gli Outlaws, sempre che non si siano sciolti, ed anche un altro gruppo motociclistico, i 59 (credo). [David]
